Chip In, America Petition

Over 80% of the world’s most advanced microchips are manufactured in Taiwan, which is under threat of invasion by China. The United States is currently responsible for over $40 billion of Taiwan’s revenue and American customers make up over 50% of global chip demand. Yet only 12% of the global chip supply is manufactured in the U.S.
For the sake of national security, this must change immediately. Great American companies have the leverage to end our reliance by sourcing more chips directly from United States. This is critical to protecting our technology, lives, and freedom.
Congress recently passed the CHIPS Act to bolster domestic semiconductor manufacturing and amended the National Defense Authorization Act to prevent the government and its contractors from purchasing semiconductors from certain Chinese manufacturers. Now, we need to American companies to chip in and do their part.
Sign the petition to tell the top 25 U.S. chipmakers, designers, and their 50 largest American customers to stop outsourcing nearly all our chips and bring the demand home. We are demanding that these companies make the Chip In America pledge to source at least 50 percent of their chips from America by 2030.
It’s time to Chip in America, before it’s too late.
